TrakStar Hosting

Promantek provides customers an ultra secure and reliable environment in which to access TrakStar Professional. Customers rest easy knowing that their data is backed by a unique and ironclad service level agreement (SLA) and proven security technology.

Promantek Service Provider

Promantek employs Latisys (http://www.Latisys.com) a leading-edge hosting service provider to allow TrakStar clients with access to TrakStar on a Windows 2000 Advanced. Clients receive a reliable environment in which to deploy TrakStar and know that their data is backed by an iron clad Service Level Agreement that is uncompromising when it comes to security.

Data Backup

Latisys provides incremental backup (changes from previous backup) of Customer data nightly and a full backup once a week. Latisys takes snapshots of Customer data at two hour intervals. Latisys retains two weeks worth of daily backups and safeguards these as if originals.

New Software Version Notification

Promantek provides Administrators with a Release Notice approximately 3 weeks in advance of Major and Minor Releases. The notice describes advancements and offers to demonstrate the new TrakStar release. TrakStar updates are installed automatically by our IT and database experts Major Version releases which provide product enhancements Minor Version releases offer new function, improved performance or reliability

Security Layers

The TrakStar Performance Appraisal System employs four layers of Data Security:

Firewalls

Latisys' corporate network sits behind redundant Cisco Firewalls. Optional Managed firewalls for our customers are provided utilizing the Cisco ACE platform deployed in Catalyst 6500 series switches. This includes 5Mbps or 10Mbps committed bandwidth. Spam and Virus filtering is provided by MX Logic, a leading Managed Service Provider and a client of the data center. Along with monitoring our bandwidth and looking for the irregularities of DOS attacks or other network abuses, Latisys employs a full time SPAM and Abuse Engineer to protect Latisys and assist our customers, should they have a need.

Encryption

Encryption is provided by www.thawte.com, a subsidiary of Verisign. Once you log into TrakStar everything is encrypted with a 1024 bit key. Our certificate from Thawte means Promantek has verifiable security from a trusted source. TrakStar relies upon encryption via Secure Socket Layer (SSL). (https://...)

Password Protection

Password protection includes organization name, username, user password. Employees and HR Administrators may change passwords. Promantek customers cannot view each other's passwords.

Login Roles

Our login roles empower selected users and levels with more or less access. This includes employee, manager and administrator. We meet the most stringent customer requirements.
